  I had previously seen Dr. Le back in 2008 for some serious medical issues and she helped me find a good hospital, where I was eventually diagnosed with Crohn's. Now it is December 2012, and today I returned to Dr. Le for the first time in a few years for a regular checkup. It was my intention to discuss with her the diagnoses I have since received from my many specialist physicians, with the hopes that my primary care doctor could sum up all of these and ease my concerns. Unfortunately, today I have received the worst service from Dr. Le than I ever had in these last 4-5 years of extensive medical care. When I relayed one of my many questions I had today to the nurse, which was regarding a diagnosis of moderate cervical dysplasia in conjunction with my immunodeficiency from Crohn's disease and worries of future family planning, the nurse seemed skeptical about Dr. Le's ability to do much, but all I wanted to do was talk to someone about it. However, upon hearing the nurse relay this to Dr. Le outside the door of the exam room, I overheard a response of "This is a waste of my time, I have so many patients to see." This was rather shocking to me considering I merely wanted a professional discussion of this rather serious and sensitive matter. When Dr. Le actually came into the room, she examined my back (for my back pain) with the most feeble attempt and merely prescribed some kind of medication with not much of an explanation and printed out a few exercises for me to do. I then inquired about some weight loss issues recently due to Crohn's symptoms and told her how I have been attempting to gain the weight back, and Dr. Le only affirmed that 2000 calories a day is enough, without adding any professional insight on the fact that I am down to a BMI of 15 (which is yet another issue with the family planning I wanted to discuss). However, Dr. Le then left the room and her nurse came in with my discharge papers. I informed the nurse that I still needed Dr. Le to examine an old piercing in my chest and what procedure would be required to remove it, and the nurse told me that Dr. Le was already with another patient and I would have to make another appointment (thus, paying another copay). Now, being told this while still on the examining table was quite a shock to me. I have never been so disrespected in regards to my medical care in my entire life. I feel that Dr. Le did not uphold the Hippocratic oath she took as a medical practitioner to never do harm. After my appointment with Dr. Le today, I feel disrespected, belittled, and still overly concerned about my health and potential demise at such a young age. I will not be returning to be seen by Dr. Le again due to this atrocious service.
