  Stayed here in Aug 26. 2017 after a bit of research to find a dog-friendly stopover to NC. The man who checked us in at 9pm ruined our experience - he greeted my smiling 'hello, I'd like to check in' with "Oh, you do, do ya?" Then proceeded to give me a hard time about our dog-friendly reservation, which I know I had made correctly over the phone days before with a lovely and accommodating staff member from that exact hotel, not the corporate line. He charged me the pet fee again and when I told him I thought I'd already pre-paid it, his response was, "The person who booked you doesn't care. No one cares." Well, then, I just wanted to get into the room and away from that guy but by 9:25, after we'd been in the room for only a few minutes he called the room saying there was a noise complaint. A noise complaint? I had to check my watch as to how long we'd even been in the room at that point. We tried to explain we'd only been talking and trying to take showers, but he instructed us to keep quiet if we intended to stay. What a lousy, obnoxious experience. We all agreed we should have just kept driving! It seemed to me that the rest of the staff were great, so I'm just sorry we ended up dealing with possibly their worst employee. Based on our experience I would not recommend for families or pet owners or any human being that might make sound above a library whisper.
