  My husband and I got married at the Clarion Inn last month and it was a dream come true! The wedding was a 3 day long event, and the staff at the Clarion were so accommodating and welcoming! They worked so well with all our vendors, and met all the needs of our almost 500 guests! We had family fly in from around the county and overseas who stayed for over a week at the hotel and they loved their stay. Frederick doesn’t have many options for large scale events, but having lived here my whole life I wanted to have my wedding here. The Clarion was the perfect pick! They have two halls, a courtyard and a ballroom. Both rooms have their own unique look yet are so rustic and romantic feeling. Alisha Vaughn, our event director, was so great and made sure everything was seamless and perfect. Thank you so much for an amazing experience!!

  This is a great place for the kids. They have a nice pool and a small mini golf course to keep them occupied. The rooms were clean and the staff was nice.

  I just checked into this hotel for what is going to be a 3-night stay as I am in town for my cousins wedding and this was the hotel accommodations listed on the wedding invitation....clearly he didn’t check this hotel out with family and friends in mind because if he had, knowing us this would not have been an option for us. Me and my 2 children (ages 8 and 1)checked in and was assigned to a room that had cereal (Cheerios) stuck to the side of the bed and a hole in the wall. I requested a new room and advised of those two issues with the original one I was assigned and was given another one. This one is better I guess....I mean I don’t see any cereal stuck to the side of the bed or holes in the wall but overall the rooms here are completely outdated. The hallways are hot and muggy. It’s about 76degrees outside but definitely feels hotter walking the halls here. I set the AC to 50degrees as the first thing I did when coming into the room and about 1hr later I’m just starting to feel the difference. There are stains on the carpet and on the comforter...the good thing about this hotel is the location, there’s a Walmart about 7mins away and a target just across the way so I can go grab some other sheets to go on top of these. In the past I’ve stayed at Marriott hotels so maybe my standard is just to high, again I only chose this hotel for this stay because it was the one listed on the wedding invitation and the rest of my family from all over booked here as well...I’m sure they’ll be disappointed as well. Also, the hotel offered a group rate since there is so many of us coming in from out of town, but how about that rate was MORE than just booking a room as if you weren’t with the group, which is exactly what I did! I would not recommend this hotel, there are others in the area with probably more up to date rooms and accommodations. Unfortunately, I prepaid so if I want to stay somewhere else I would be out of the money I prepaid here.
